IV. Information on data processing

Your personal data processed upon your visit to our website is erased or blocked as soon as the purpose of data storage no longer applies, provided that the erasure of such data is not prohibited by statutory retention obligations and the specific processing procedures described below do not provide otherwise.

Server data
For technical reasons, in particular to ensure a safe and stable internet presence, data is transmitted from your internet browser to us or our webspace provider. These so-called server log files include, among other things, the type and version of your internet browser, your operating system, the website from which you referred to our website (referrer URL), the website(s) of our internet presence you visited, including date and time of the respective access as well as the IP address of the internet connection from which the use of our internet presence takes place.

The data collected in this manner is stored temporarily, but separately from other personal data we collect from you.

The legal basis for this data storage is Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the improvement, stability, functionality and security of our internet presence.

Provided it is not required for evidence purposes, the data is erased after seven days at the latest. Otherwise, such data is partly or entirely exempted from erasure until final clarification of the issue.

Contract execution
The data transferred by you in order to receive products or service from us is processed for contract execution purposes, and is thus required. Contract conclusion and execution depend on the delivery of your data.

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.

We erase the data after contract execution is completed; however, we have to observe retention periods as stipulated by German tax and commercial law provisions.

During contract execution, we transfer your data to the logistics company assigned with goods delivery, or to the respective financial service provider, to the extent that such data transfer is required to deliver goods or make payments.

The legal basis for data transmission is Art. 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.

Contact requests
If you contact us via e-mail, we use the data provided in your e-mail to process your enquiry. Data provision is required to process and answer to your enquiry. Without data delivery, we are unable to – comprehensively – answer to your enquiry.

The legal basis for this kind of data processing is Art. 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.

Your data is erased as soon as your enquiry has been answered conclusively and if data erasure is not prohibited by statutory retention obligations, which may apply if a contract is concluded.

LinkedIn
We maintain an online presence on LinkedIn, which serves to represent our company and offer our services. Furthermore, we use LinkedIn to communicate with (potential) clients. LinkedIn is a service provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, a subsidiary of LinkedIn Corporation, 1000 W. Maude Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085, USA.

Therefore, be advised that user data may be processed outside the European Union, particularly in the United States of America. Social media links via graphics or text links
On our website, we advertise our presence on the following social media. These links are embedded by using the graphic file of the respective social media network. Using linked graphics prevents connection to the respective server of the social network being automatically established when a website with social media links is called up, in order to display a graphic of the respective network itself. This means that users have to click on the respective graphics file to be reconnected to the social media network service.

After reconnection, the respective network service will collect data from the user. We cannot exclude that the data collected this way may be processed in the USA.

Such data collection primarily contains IP addresses as well as the date, time and the specific websites visited. If the user is logged into his or her personal account at the respective social media network, the network operator may be able to allocate the data collected during the website visit to the respective personal user account. If the user uses a “share” button on the social media network, this information may be stored in the personal user account, and may be publicly disclosed. If the user wants to prevent the collected data from being allocated to his or her personal user account, he/she should log out from the social media network before clicking on the graphics file. Furthermore, users may configure their personal user account accordingly.

Our website provides links to the following social media networks:

We use Google Analytics for our internet presence. Google Analytics is a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

Given its certification according to the EU-US Privacy Shield

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

Google Analytics is used to analyse user behaviour on our website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the analysis, optimisation, and the economic operation of our internet presence.

User data or user-relevant data, such as IP addresses, the location, time or the frequency of visits to our website is transferred to and stored at a Google server in the US. https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners

for further information on Google’s data protection measures, including options to prevent data utilisation.

Please refer to

https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

for further information on the deactivation add-on offered by Google. This add-on can be installed with the usual internet browsers, and enables you to comprehensively control the data that Google collects when you visit our website. The add-on tells the JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics that the data concerning visits to our website will not be transferred to Google Analytics. However, the add-on does not prevent data transfer to us or other web analysis services. Please refer to our Data Protection Declaration for further information regarding other web analysis services we use.

Our internet presence uses Google Fonts to display external fonts. Google Fonts is a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the optimisation, and the economic operation of our internet presence.

Given the connection to Google established upon access to our website, Google is able to determine from what website the request was made, and to what IP address the font display shall be transferred.

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

CSE allows full-text search of the content on our website. Access to this search functionality is made via the search field “Google Custom Search”.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the user-friendliness of our website.

This functionality is integrated into our website as a standard software module.

Once the search term has been entered and the search request has been sent, Google loads the requested information using a plug-in. Simultaneously, in order to carry out the search and to display the search results, the term entered by the user as well as his/her IP address are transferred to Google.

Provided that the user is logged into his/her Google account during the search process, Google is able to allocate the processed information to the respective user profile.
